FINE ART PRINTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
In honour of LGBTQI activists and Auckland City and New Zealand personality; Peter Taylor who has passed away.
This painting was inspired by his book called “Don’t Postpone Joy” A piece of literature that celebrates life in its splendour, passion and purpose. Peter Taylor lives a colourful life and is an inspiration to many who know him and have encountered his presence and resilience to be the best he can be, no matter what.
“Finding Dusk” is a tribute to a life well lived despite all the odds, living with two terminal illnesses and astounding many in the medical field by simply living. The paintings tonal quality is specific in its colouring, richness and vibrancy, it references inspiration from a recent blog Peter wrote that reminded us all of the impermanence of life. http://peterataylor.blogspot.co.nz/2013/07/hows-your-day-blog-112-reflections-of.html?spref=fb
The work references inspiration by Peter Taylor’s experience as an equestrian rider and his affinity towards Horses. The scene is set in the view from where Te Mete lives and sometimes incorporates in his works.
